BOARD & TRAIN is how we fast track your puppies social and obedience skills.

We spend each day rotating through our training dogs teaching them the following:

-Sit/stay
-Down/stay
-Place (calm on command)
- Recall
- Social skills with other dogs
- Play outlets for their genetic needs

We send owners photo/video updates Monday/Wednesday/ Friday during the week. This keeps owners up to date with their dogs progress. Once the training puppies complete their 2 week stay we do 1 of 3 human training lessons. This covers everything the puppy learned and the new training routine owners will implement when they take their puppy home from boarding.

Once a puppy hits 6 months it is time for phase 2 where we do the remaining 2 training lessons covering off leash training & any behaviour modification that is necessary to ensure all dogs mature confidently and safely. This is when training teams “GRADUATE” to lifetime group classes hosted monthly (bi weekly in summer months) for the lifetime of your dog. You will also have the opportunity to try out for our GRC Drive Sports Club once your puppy is old enough.

WE TAKE MAX 4 DOGS AT ANYTIME FOR TRAINING
All dogs have access to an indoor/outdoor kennel run and spend much of their day with their trainer or socializing with the other training dogs. We hand pick our groups of training dogs to ensure everyone can be safely integrated for structured socializing and play time.

ALL DOGS ARE KENNELLED OVER NIGHT SO IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOUR DOG TO BE CRATE TRAINED
Dogs must be comfortable being contained & crate trained to attend training. We provide a clean comfortable kennel environment with very little noise or stress to ensure all dogs enjoy their stay.

DOGS MUST BE UP TO DATE WITH THEIR VACCINATIONS & GROOMED BEFORE ARRIVAL
Our facility is on our home property so it is important for us to keep all animals clean and healthy. Dogs coming for a 2 week stay should have a bath & brush and their nails cut prior to drop off.

(We do know dogs can get dirty and if we feel it isneeded we will provide a go home groom free of charge)

We all struggle with balance and when it comes to our dogs we often struggle even more. The beautiful thing about dogs is they LIVE IN THE MOMENT. This allows us to make changes and improvements to ourselves to better our
relationship with them. You will learn our training system including marker training, pressure/release, timing and how to read your dog. We will teach you how to motivate your dog, how to regulate their drive and build their confidence all through their interactions with you!

We use a healthy combination of training tools, verbal and physical praise and toy/play rewards. Some tools we use as you can see in the pictures are Prong Collars, E- collars, slip leads, harnesses and all sorts of toys & treats. All dogs get daily outdoor breaks as well as free time to burn off their sillies and socialize with safe friendly dogs. All dogs are trained to heel on leash with daily structured walks. These can be solo or with a pack. We create a rock solid dog by gaining its complete focus and attention. Starting with teaching SIT, DOWN, PLACE, OUT, and RECALL in a none distracted environment. Once we gain success we add other distractions, such as dogs and obstacles, so your dog will listen in any situation.

CHOOSING TO COMMIT TO A TRAINING PROGRAM IS A BIG STEP IN ANY DOG OWNERS LIFE. WE STRIVE TO HELP EDUCATE PEOPLE ON-TOP OF HELPING TRAIN DOGS. YOUR DOG CANNOT SUCCEED WITHOUT YOU. TRAINING IS A DEDICATION OF TIME/LOVE/ENERGY AND CAN BE IN MANY CASES BE A LONGTERM COMMITMENT AND LIFESTYLE CHANGE. IS IMPERATIVE ALL FAMILY MEMBERS UNDERSTAND THAT SOME CURRENT ROUTINES AND RULES REGARDING YOUR DOG MAY NEED TO BE ADJUSTED. COMING TOGETHER TO IMPLEMENT THE SAME INFORMATION, STRUCTURE AND COMMUNICATION TO ENSURE THE HAPPINESS AND SUCCESS OF YOUR PUP.

TRAINING IS STILL IN FULL FORCE ONCE YOUR NEWLY EDUCATED DOG RETURNS HOME. WE PROVIDE YOU WITH A DIGITAL GO HOME HELP BOOKLET AS WELL AS ONLINE SUPPORT WHENEVER YOU MAY NEED IT.

IN ONE MONTH YOU WILL FEEL CONFIDENT WITH YOUR DOGS AND YOUR NEW SKILLS. 6 MONTHS FROM NOW YOU WONT REMEMBER ALL THE PROBLEMS YOU HAD AND IN A YEAR YOU SHOULD SEE A WHOLE NEW DOG!
